The goal of the youth academy is to bring the highest level of soccer coaching to the younger players that truly have a passion for the game. We are dedicated to serving the community by providing a challenging and supportive soccer environment for our youth. Every player in our Academy has an opportunity to potentially play on one of our club teams or continue to train with us until they are ready to play at a competitive level. This allows for a smooth transition between recreational and club soccer for all academy players. We believe that providing the proper training at the early ages will allow their individual skills to grow and create a love for the game. We hope to bring more families in our community together that believe in player development over the winning-at-all costs mentality that you see in many youth programs today. Our nationally licensed training staff has a wealth of training experience teaching soccer in Ventura County. Each training session will consist of developing individual balls skills, circuit training and small sided scrimmages to encourage players to implement the skills they have been taught. The end goal is to create technically proficient players that are well prepared for learning team concepts as they transition to competitive club soccer.

CVU Youth Academy

• When - Every Thursday from 4:30-6:00pm.  NO academy on 3/27/2013
   
• Where - Conejo Creek Park - 1300 East Janss Road, Thousand Oaks, CA.  Field #7 next to new Concession Stand
   
• Cost - $100 

Session Schedule:  

• Spring 2013 Session - 3 month session begins Thursday, 3/7/2013 
• Fall 2012 Session  - 3 month session begins the first Friday in Sep and runs until the end of Nov.
• Winter 2012 Session  - 3 month session begins the first Friday in Dec and runs until the end of Feb.
• Winter 2012 Camp - Dates TBA, from 9:00-12:00. Cost $60 or $30 if you sign up at the beginning of the winter Academy session.

The CVU Youth Academy is a great way to get the very best in soccer training from some of the finest training staff in Ventura County. For those Academy players that are ready to take the next step we have formed the Youth Academy Teams. Academy Teams will train side by side with the Youth Academy on Friday nights but in addition will pick up one extra training night a week. Academy teams will participate in local recreational leagues and tournaments in an age appropriate division.

Tryout sessions for Winter and Spring Youth Academy teams will be held during Academy training every Friday night in November. These sessions are free and open to all boys and girls aged 5-9.
