The 2008-2009 Strikers will be playing in the Silver North division this upcoming season and will be challenging to win this division. We have added some exceptional players to go along with a very strong core group of dedicated and talented soccer players. The team practices on Tuesday and Thursdays in Moorpark and sometimes in Thousand Oaks. The team and all the families are very dedicated to soccer but all the girls must maintain a "B" average in school to play and must always be good citizens. The team competes year round and travels all over Southern California and Nevada for tournaments. Come on out and watch us play with our home games being played at Thousand Oaks Community Park at 2525 North Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks, 91360.
17 of the 18 girls on the team are going into high school this year. Of the 17, 6 to 8 will be playing Varsity and the rest will be on thier high schools Junior Varsity teams. During the months of December through the first part of March the team goes dark for high school soccer season. We plan on taking the team to a college showcase tournament in Las Vegas in March of 2009 to expose our talented players to college scouts. Also, it’s a great trip for all the families to spend a great weekend with each other and enjoy good soccer and a fun city.
