CVU White G95 Finalists at 2007 North vs. South Summer Classic

CVU Rage traveled to San Luis Obispo to take part in the 2007 North vs. South Summer Classic held on the weekend of August 11th & 12th. The weather was good, the fields were good and the soccer was definately good.

In their first tournament back since summer break Rage got off to a good start with a 2-1 win over Dublin Premier and then put on an offensive clinic with a 6-0 win over SMISO FC Stampede. Rage then found themselves going up against a tough Crusaders FC team in the semi-finals. Both teams played well, but Rage put in a strong performance and left the field with a 2-0 win.

The championship game was played on a very nice field at Cuesta College against a very athletic and technically-strong Bullard FC team. It was an exciting and competitive game to watch with both teams having their chances on goal. In the end Rage came up just short losing 1-2 to Bullard FC. Overall it was a great weekend. Rage scored 11 goals, gave up just 3, made it to the championship game in two straight touranaments and the girls and their parents all had fun in the process.
