CVU Rage began pool play in the 2008 Cal South State Cup with a 3-0 win over Desert United. The next morning they faced RSMC in an 8:00am game that was marked by blistering wind and rain. The girls fought hard but ultimately lost the game 0-1. Needing to win their last pool play game to advance, Rage left it all on the field against CV Manchester. The game ended with a 1-0 win for Rage, seeing the team into the Round of 32. The following weekend the girls were knocked out by eventual finalists FC Long Beach, losing 0-1 on a penalty kick late in the game. Great effort girls!
