In their second tournament of the season Inferno chalked up another great tournament performance at the Rampage Pre-Season Classic. Playing with their full league roster the girls took home finalist medals!

In their first game against the Eagles the girls scored early and finished the half leading by 1:0. The second half didn’t belong to them though, and the final score showed Inferno down by 1:2. Second game was against a very fast South Bay Force team and this time the Inferno girls got into their stride turning in a solid 2:0 victory which put them in the top seeded place going into the semi finals. In the semis Inferno met the Newbury Park Titans and gave up an early goal in the slick morning conditions. Trailing by 0:1 at the half the girls had everything to do, and close to the whistle finally managed to put one in the net forcing the game straight to penalties. A couple of missed shots again had us trailing, but two strong saves by Sarah and three textbook kicks resulted in a win for Inferno and a place in the finals.

The final was against the home team Rampage. This would be the second time that the girls had been matched against a Silver Elite team in tournament play. This time the girls finished the half trailing by 0:1,in the second half the girls put in a great defensive effort and although we had a couple of opportunities the final score was 0:2. A great result against a team that has been playing together for a number of years.
