Many CVU players participated, raising money for kids who are in financial need to play soccer. For the last few weeks, CVU players had collected pledges from sponsors, for a certain amount per juggle. On Saturday 16th May at the CVU Barbecue and Annual General Meeting, the players fanned out across Conejo Creek North Park and counted how many juggles they could accomplish in 15 minutes.
Over $6,000 was raised total. CVU White G95, also known as CVU Rage, generated the most money of any single team, raising $2,367. Two players on that team also raised the most money individually -- Meagan ($357) and Taylor ($315). Meagan also accomplished the most juggles in 15 minutes of any girl, with 1,400 juggles. Dylan , of CVU Blue B97, or CVU Slammers, had the most among the boys, with 2,100 juggles. It was a great effort for a very worthwhile cause.
All proceeds from the Juggle-A-Thon go to players in need of financial assistance to be able to play soccer at CVU. All donations are tax deductible as allowable by the IRS.
