The first ever CVU BU8 Blue academy team won the 2011 Fall Oxnard Youth Premier League Championship (silver bracket) this past weekend (12/17-12/18) with a 4-2 win over Chivas USA in the finals at Oxnard College.   They avenged their only regular season loss to Oxnard Pal White with a 3-0 win in the semi-finals on Saturday.

Known as one of the toughest youth leagues in California, the boys finished the regular season 9-1. During the season they scored 40 goals and only allowed 7 against, posting 6 shutouts in the process. 

All of their hard work in practice during paid off with a great fall season.   Thanks to wonderful training sessions led by Seydina Seck and Brian Collins, the boys really learned how to come together as a team.
